What does your typical working day involve?

I wake up, prep the family’s lunches then head off to the gym. I head back home and get ready for my day ahead and I never know where it’ll take me. I love my role as no day is ever the same, whether its networking, catching up with clients or promoting the hotel & restaurant to let everyone know how great it is.

What makes Holiday Inn Blackpool & Marco’s New York Italian special?

There’s a huge amount of regeneration and investment taking place in the town, so we know there’s real demand for our amenities. With our central location we're perfectly placed to attract companies and business travellers as well as our leisure guests – so there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to open our doors in May.

Do you have any business rules that you swear by?

Be yourself! Stay in your lane and focus on the job and role at hand.

Do you dress up or down for work?

I do both. On days when I’m networking, I love wearing a cute blazer and a dress. However, now we are getting closer to the opening of the hotel, daily deliveries and moving things around means I’m normally in casual and comfy attire!

What piece of advice would you give your 18-year-old self?

You can do it! Be confident, believe in yourself and always listen to your gut, there will always be some obstacles in the way, but you will get there in the end and be successful if you put your heart into it.

What’s your favourite Lancashire venue for an event or team away day?

As we’re a brand-new team we haven’t had the chance yet, however a day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach would be the ultimate team day!

How do you prefer to travel for business?

By car – I always drive.

What’s your favourite place in Lancashire to relax?

The beach at Lytham St Annes – it's beautiful!

Where is your favourite place to eat in Lancashire and what dish do you recommend?

I have so many, however I know I will be dining at Marco’s New York Italian in Blackpool as soon as it opens its doors.

What do you miss most about Lancashire when you’re away?

The location itself. You can either be hitting the pubs and nightlife or within 30 minutes you can be in the tranquil countryside or by a calming beach.
