Simply With Science founder and campaigner Harshita Kudaravalli is joining the crew of the new comedy feature film Hot Flash, which is filming exclusively in Yorkshire from early 2026.

The film, which tells the story of an accidental entrepreneur navigating imposter syndrome, menopause, and the challenges of being a single mother over forty, has brought Kudaravalli on board as a health and wellness partner. In this role, she will consult with the production team on the accurate and sensitive representation of perimenopause and menopause in the script. She will also help maintain the wellbeing of the film’s cast and crew throughout the production schedule.

Kudaravalli brings 15 years of experience in medical research, innovation, and regulatory affairs, having since focused on holistic health and wellness, particularly for women navigating mid-life symptoms.

The film’s writer and executive producer, Jan Birley, CEO of BoxTree Media Ltd, said: “Dealing with menopause in an accurate, sensitive way while not shying away from using comedy is something we take really seriously. Harshita's expertise, combined with the lived experience of our amazing cast and production team, means we can do that with absolute confidence. Music Producer Eliot Kennedy is attached to the project, bringing a wealth of experience, including an Ivor Novello Award for Boyzone’s ‘Picture Of You,’ a Grammy Award for ‘Never Gonna Break My Faith’ (performed by Aretha Franklin and Mary J Blige), and collaborations with Bryan Adams and Hans Zimmer.
