Summer Will Be Curiouser And Curiouser At Raby Castle, Park And Gardens
Raby Castle, Park and Gardens is encouraging families to journey down the rabbit hole this summer with an Alice in Wonderland inspired takeover of the castle grounds.
From Saturday 19th July, a new and immersive experience awaits in The Riding School, setting everyone’s senses and imaginations alight as this much-loved story is brought to life. Featuring illuminated tunnels, kaleidoscope projections, a magical garden complete with stunning LED trees, oversized mushrooms and giant dandelions, as well as the iconic Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, families can embark on a journey of wonder and mystery through Wonderland.
Visitors can also become as mad as a hatter with a new trail in The Plotters’ Forest, Raby’s woodland adventure playground woven amongst a Christmas tree plantation, where young explorers will step into Alice’s shoes to follow the white rabbit down the rabbit hole, collect the clues and solve the riddles.
Sophie Brown, sales and events manager at Raby Estates said: “We’ve truly got stuck into an amazing theme for our summer activities as we inject even more fun and energy across the grounds for our visitors.
“We hope parents and grandparents enjoy reliving this classic story with their little ones and have lots of fun immersing themselves in this bonkers and mad Wonderland world where everything is nonsense.”
Designed to offer families even more to see and do during their time here, Raby will also be hosting an Alice in Wonderland inspired trail featuring curious creatures in the castle followed by a Mad Hatter’s Summer Tea Party in the Walled Gardens’ grass amphitheatre.
Families this summer can plan their visit to coincide with the destination’s jam-packed events schedule. In the lineup are outdoor cinema screenings, open air theatre and returning due to popular demand, the Harvest Seasonal Market on the August Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday 23rd – Monday 25th August) which showcases the best local produce and makers.
