Snow Way… Cleaning Products Top Brits’ Festive Wishlists

Staggeringly, more than half (58%) of people have cleaning products such as air fresheners, microfibre cloths and stain remover on their list of most coveted items this Christmas.
That figure rises to an enormous 93% among millennials aged 18-24 in a trend thought to have been sparked by ‘clean-fluencers’ – social media stars who garner millions of followers by posting cleaning tips, tricks and hacks.
The study from Dr. Beckmann found the craziness of the Christmas period is contributing to this rising demand for cleaning products, with over two in five (42%) people saying their home is more messy and disorganised amid the festivities.
On Christmas Day, more than a third of Brits (36%) say red and mulled wine spills are most likely to cause stains, closely followed by gravy splatters (26%) and grease from the Christmas cooking (25%).
As a result, Dr. Beckmann’s Upholstery Stain Remover, which tackles the toughest of red wine spills, is expected to be a popular stocking filler this year.
While getting the house in sparkling condition is a top priority for many, it’s also a time-consuming task, with almost half (49%) of people spending upwards of three hours deep cleaning the home in preparation for the big day.
