Silver Screen Weekly - What's Coming Up At The Cinema From Friday 2nd August

Our film critic and media correspondent has been looking and trawling the new releases. Here's what you can see on the big screen this week.

Showing Now

Harold and the Purple Crayon (PG)
Based on the beloved children’s book by Crockett Johnson, Harold and the Purple Crayon is this summer holiday’s brand new family film! Starring Shazam!’s Zachary Levi, director Carlos Saldanha’s (Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs) film acts as a sequel to the original book, and sees Harold grow up with his magical purple crayon, and eventually draw himself off the pages of the book, and into the physical world, where he finds that he has a lot to learn about real life. Imaginative, colourful, family friendly fun, Harold and the Purple Crayon is the perfect choice for this summer holiday. Co-starring Lil Rel Howery, Zooey Deschanel, Jemaine Clement and Alfred Molina.
