Switalskis Solicitors has announced its largest ever intake of future legal talent, welcoming 14 new trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices to its Qualifying Solicitors Programme. This investment brings the firm’s total number of trainees to 26. The new cohort underscores the firm’s commitment to internal development, with 13 of the 14 trainees moving from existing positions within the practice. The trainees will be distributed across specialist teams, including Clinical Negligence, Court of Protection, Wills and Probate, Care, and Child Abuse Litigation, reflecting key growth areas for the Yorkshire firm. The bespoke programme offers experience across a range of legal disciplines before specialisation.

Dan Taylor has been promoted to operations manager at
John N Dunn Group’s Yorkshire division. Mr Taylor's career progression at the firm, which he joined 15 years ago as a plumber, "is a great example of" the company's "belief in promoting from within," according to James Harris, managing director of the Yorkshire division. John N Dunn Group has also recently welcomed two new apprentices to the Yorkshire team,
Riley Yoxall and
Ciaran Husband, who will work on live projects while completing their plumbing and heating qualifications.

TL Dallas has appointed
Caroline Pullich as Group Head of Private Clients. She will focus on providing bespoke insurance and wealth protection services to high-net-worth individuals across the UK. With more than 30 years of experience, Ms Pullich has held senior roles at NatWest and Barclays, where she was Head of SME for Yorkshire. Her most recent position was as Managing Partner at NFU Mutual in Boston Spa, where she developed a portfolio of over 80 private clients.

Leeds-based marketing agency
Source Marketing has hired two new PR and social media executives,
Annabel Wales and
Ella Adams. Annabel joins with a year of experience, having previously worked at Aubergine PR. Ella is a recent graduate of Liverpool University, where she worked as a digital ambassador. The pair will be responsible for client relationships, media relations, and social media content for a range of clients, including Bellway Homes and the British Engines Group, in addition to managing Source's own PR and social media activity.

JBP Communications, a public affairs and PR agency, has appointed
Louise French as its new Northern Regional Director, based out of the firm's recently opened office in Harrogate. The appointment is a key step in JBP’s UK-wide growth strategy to expand its footprint across the North of England. Ms French brings three decades of experience, including founding and running her own long-established consultancy, French PR, which specialises in the real estate, property marketing, and placemaking sectors across the North. In her new role, she will lead JBP's expansion, delivering strategic communications, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement programmes. Her remit is to support businesses and help connect Northern voices to national policy conversations in Westminster. She will continue to run her existing firm alongside her new duties at JBP.

DWF has expanded its Major Injury and Casualty practice with the appointment of four partners from Kennedys:
Richard West,
Claire Mulligan,
Gareth Thomas, and
Jennifer Harris. They are joined by
Nicola Stickings as a director and a further 22 associates, solicitors, and legal professionals across the firm’s London and Leeds offices. The team specialises in liability defence, catastrophic injury, and regulatory matters. A fifth partner,
Victoria Kennedy, is also set to join the practice in October.
