Manchester To Cleveland, Ohio Direct (Via Dublin!)

Cleveland Museum of Art

Aer Lingus launches its first non-stop service to Cleveland, Ohio on 19 May promising Manchester Airport users access to the city’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and its ground-breaking exhibition on The Beatles

Visitors can also enjoy Cedar Point, the second-oldest amusement park in America, the Cleveland Museum of Art, which celebrates Egyptian influence on fashion, as well as the city’s landmark food market which is undergoing a $12-million renovation.

Last month also marked the 12-month countdown to the 2024 Solar Eclipse, during which Cleveland will be located in the path of totality! Viewers can expect to experience nearly four minutes of darkness, one of the longest blackouts in the country.

With views from the Lake Erie shoreline and special programming from local science institutions, Cleveland will be an ideal location to witness the celestial event.

The new Aer Lingus flight will operate four times a week, with connections from Manchester, Glasgow, London Heathrow and Edinburgh. Passengers will be able to carry out their pre-clearance in Dublin so that, on arrival at Cleveland airport, they can avoid immigration queues, collect their luggage and go.

Visitors to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame can step inside The Beatles’ January 1969 rehearsals, studio sessions, and legendary Apple Corp’s rooftop concert, the band’s final live performance.

Fans will also be immersed in The Beatles’ creative journey through the exhibit’s original instruments, clothing, and handwritten lyrics created by The Beatles.

At the always free Cleveland Museum of Art, Egyptomania brings together nearly 50 objects that explore the influence of Egyptomania in fashion by juxtaposing contemporary fashion and jewellery with fine and decorative artworks from the museum’s collection.

West Side Market, Cleveland’s landmark food market, is undergoing a $12-million renovation. Visitors will see improved vendor stalls and an updated clock tower. Other planned updates include the introduction of alcohol sales and new seating areas for on-site dining at the 110-year-old market.
