Lancashire Coach Operator Grows Property Portfolio

Lancashire based coach tour and hotel package operator Alfa Leisureplex Group, has acquired two more hotels to add to its 24-strong portfolio.

Alfa Travel, owned by its employees, and part of the Alfa Leisureplex Group, has welcomed the Royal Hotel, Weymouth and the Waverley Castle Hotel, Melrose in the Scottish borders, to its UK portfolio.

The latest acquisitions follow the purchase of the Norfolk Royale Hotel in Bournemouth last February 2023.

The Royal Hotel is an elegant Grade II listed property in one of the best positions on Weymouth seafront with spectacular views across the bay.

It provides a perfect base for travellers to enjoy seaside resort attractions such as the harbour and marina, or to explore the West Dorset Heritage Coast, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Waverley Castle Hotel is located just a mile from the centre of the beautiful town of Melrose and is set in five acres of parkland, offering the perfect base to explore its incredible surroundings which include Edinburgh and the Northumbrian coastline.

With wonderful views of the Eildon hills, the hotel offers a scenic walk along the banks of the River Tweed into Melrose, where you can explore a historic and fascinating area of Scotland.

Both hotels provide more availability for solo travellers with a total of 38 single rooms available with no single room supplement between the two properties.
