Electric Shuffle(board) Arrives In Leeds!

I first played it in Kansas City, USA but haven’t seen it since! The centuries-old game of shuffleboard has finally arrived in Leeds to put a spark into the lives of the city’s social scene.

I say ‘spark’ because this electric version is definitely for the numerically challenged because, as with so many things in life, the computer does everything for you except push the puck: adding up the scores, documenting player names and even photographing those who chose to gurn at the camera!

Electric Shuffle are the people behind the new venue at 123 The Headrow (just opposite the Henry Moore Institue), the same crowd who introduced electric darts and Flight Club to the city just a few months ago.

This opening marks the first Electric Shuffle outside of London and is a key step forward for the innovative brand, whose sister brand, Flight Club, is literally a few steps away around the corner.

Electric Shuffle Leeds boasts nine shuffleboard playing areas within a spectacular, Grade II listed building, and a stunning bar that makes for a buzzy atmosphere when the place is full.

With a rich history spanning hundreds of years, shuffleboard is as much a game of skill as it is luck.

For the best experience, it’s recommended to book a 90-minute slot for a game, which costs £11 per person.

Groups of up to 16 can play together, choosing from 4 unique games designed to keep things competitive whilst amplifying the excitement.

A menu of tasty bites, from small plates to paddle board pizzas, is available to keep players fuelled, alongside a list of drinks and cocktails.

Handy “press for service” buttons mean that not a moment of gameplay has to be missed, leaving more time for teams to discuss tactics - or deliberate over what cocktail to choose next!

CEO Steve Moore, who co-founded Electric Shuffle and Flight Club said: “We have loved being part of Leeds’ incredible hospitality scene so much with Flight Club and look forward to seeing our customers create more epic memories together with us.”
