Now the evenings are getting darker and the winter sets in, it’s the time for our final Exhibition of the year. During 2023 the Association of Animal Artists (AAA) has been raising funds for The Big Cat Sanctuary, at its Spring Exhibition, and postcard art auction which has raised over £3500, finally it has an upcoming Autumn Exhibition. All the funds raised will be going towards a "really exciting new project" for the Big Cat Sanctuary, their first ever Asiatic Lions, Sonika and Sahee.

Many of our members have visited and supported The Big Cat Sanctuary over the years, and the AAA cannot wait to finish the year on a high with its fundraising efforts! The partnership is especially poignant for outgoing chairperson, Liselle, who began her career in feline biology, and developed their passion for Cheetah conservation by interning at The Big Cat Sanctuary.

"The AAA is excited to present yet another stunning collection of animal artwork this Autumn. With members depicting a plethora of animals in an array of mediums and styles, this year we have introduced several exciting categories for our artists to enter their work, where prizes have been sponsored by some wonderful businesses. There is something for the whole family to enjoy at this wonderful exhibition, with some unique pieces being created for this event. We are absolutely delighted to be returning to The Station once again, not only does this venue have a vibrant creative space; it boasts a cinema, café and other shops too all set close to Richmond town and gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

We hope to inspire you to reconnect with nature and realise the unique beauty of the animals we share the planet with through the wonderful artwork of our members."

The Autumn Exhibition will run from Friday 10th November until Tuesday 5th December 2023 – it is free to enter and is open daily from 11am until 4pm. You can view the exhibition at The Station, Station Yard, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 4LD.
