What Landmark Do You Believe Should Be A New Wonder Of The World?

From Buckingham Palace, which attracts over half a million visitors during the summer months, to Stonehenge, which welcomes over 1.3 million a year, the UK is home to some iconic heritage sites and tourist attractions. But which UK landmarks do Brits think are most worthy of the World Wonder title?

To find out, long-haul travel specialists Travelbag surveyed over 2,000 people to reveal the UK landmarks that Brits think most deserve to be of the World’s Wonders and also asked them about their knowledge of the existing list to see how well people know iconic heritage sites.

The table below shows the UK landmarks Brits believe should be one of the World’s Wonders:

Stonehenge is the UK landmark that Brits believe is most worthy of World Wonder status, with over a quarter (26%) saying it should be one of the World’s New Seven Wonders.

Hadrian’s Wall is second in the UK as the most deserving landmark to make the World’s Seven Wonders list, with 13% of Brits saying it should be.

The White Cliffs of Dover rank third as the most iconic UK landmark that people think should be named as one of the World’s Seven Wonders, with 12% of Brits saying this should make the list.

The most popular landmark which people think should be one of the Seven Wonders of the New World is Niagra Falls, 39% of people say this should rank within the list.

Only 15% of people correctly identified where all Seven New Wonders of the World are located.

Just 0.8% of people can correctly name all seven of the New Wonders of the World.
