Heartache For England As Italy Wins On Penalties

So Italy did it. But our England players can hold their heads up high.

Heartache for our English team. This was a young English team and they will grow and come back again. Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was excellent.

There's next year's World Cup to look forward to and we have a team that will grow in strength.

It's so cruel when it comes down to penalties.

Italy has won 34 games in a row and they probably had the edge over England but our boys did well and should be warmly congratulated for lifting our spirits and playing so well.
