How excited are you about appearing in The Rocky Horror Show?

I am playing the part of the narrator who holds everything together and guides the audience through the crazy story. As the narrator I am the only character who gets to answer back to the audience which makes it a really good fun role to play - so I am very excited about performing in the show.

How have you found it being the newest cast member?

It is such a friendly bunch, some of the cast have been performing in the show a long time and they have helped me by telling me what to expect, especially from the fans - you would be surprised at some of the things the audience shout out.

Talking of audiences - I understand some of them get in the mood by dressing up

Some of the costumes we see are extraordinary- there is quite a lot of ill-advised lingerie - and that is just the men! The other night a man came dressed up as a tiger, maybe there is some significance to the show? Apparently the outfit cost £5,000 as it had been hand stitched and I have to admit, it looked magnificent.

Have you have seen the show, prior to making your debut?

I saw the movie many years ago when I knew I was going to be starring in the stage production and when it the show visited Hastings I went along to watch. It was like nothing I had seen before. The show is a cult classic that has stood the test of time.

Yes it is a classic, so why do you think the show continues to be so successful fifty years on?

For one thing the songs are incredible, the second is that this is a musical that appeals to young and old alike. Anything that has a good quality about it will always be popular plus the show is interactive - the audience are involved.

Have you a favourite song to perform in the musical?

As the narrator I do not get many chances to sing although in the finale I get to sing and perform The Time Warp. You know, it is the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane!

It all sounds like a fun night out

Every night we have a fun time on stage and so do the audience, I always say it is like a revivalist church meeting with people who like to dress up in kinky outfits!

People enjoy it so much that we have some fans travelling fifty miles to see the show not only that they come two or three times a week.
