Moving House And New Business Ventures

It's been a rather hectic three weeks as Hannah, Little Alf and friends have moved house.

It took over 10 days and was not an easy move with 20+ pets to pack up as well as moving everything outside and inside the house. The animals took a full day, but now two weeks on we are loving every minute at the new farm.

I have moved from one part of the Yorkshire Dales to another. In our new place I have much more land which will enable me to pursue my dream to open up a visitors centre and experience days with the team. It's an ambition I have had since I was 16.

It’s a bit top secret about the plans ahead. I will be putting teaser tasters on my social channel.

All the animals have settled in to their new home; Little Alf and Pepper now have a larger paddock and are very much enjoying the extra grass and land around us.

I have plans for some new arrivals to join the team which will become part of the experience days and this week I'm looking forward to meeting then and writing about their arrival.

It’s still all systems go; we have the new stable block arriving later this week ready for the winter months.

The last few weeks have been a real whirlwind. I found out during the move that I’ve won a Yorkshire prestige award for my business at Hannah, Little Alf and Friends for the best ‘Home Good retailer’ of the year which was lovely. The judges spoke about how much they loved the website, designs and idea behind the brand. I designed the website myself and do all the social content so it was really lovely to get recognised for an award.

Izzy one of my Valais black nose sheep had a slight knock to her horn last week so required medical attention. She’s absolutely fine now and back to full health but due to the antiseptic spray being blue she is currently grazing around the field with a blue head so looks a little different.
