n his second album release, Hong Kong-born but now London-based Allman Brown continues to enthral his fans with his emotionally charged yet introspective music on this aptly titled album.

The recurring theme throughout the album is the love Allman feels for his wife and family. Merging his signature acoustic guitar-driven melodies with modern pop elements, Allman successfully experiments with new sounds and instrumentation, challenging himself along the way. Recorded in just ten days and produced by Peter Katis (Interpol, The National), the album invites listeners to embark on a profound emotional journey.

The set opens with Bad Blood, where a driving beat is set against a lyric about being stuck in a rut. The pop-infused Take Me Back uses Allman’s mid-eighties pop influences, with him sounding upbeat and assured. The track Far Away details his life on the road and how it can be a lonely experience.

Closing with My Ordinary Life, the song is an ode to the passing away of his father and the often-strained relationship they shared.

On this new collection, Brown embraces vulnerability and authenticity, emerging as some of his finest work yet on an album that will appeal to his fans and anyone who is new to his music.
